Tip for Great Prints
Location, Location, Location...
Do not mistake it for a retailer's war-cry. In our case, it is the mis-location of the photographed subject. Very often, the photographer's object of affection is just so close to the frame that some trimming is bound to happen when the prints come out.
For bright, rich and well-composed prints, try these tips.

Winston Churchill

Yousuf Karsh's portrait of an unhappy, scowling Winston Churchill happened when Karsh took away the leader's ubiquitous cigar from him - for a moment.
This is claimed to be the most reproduced photographic portrait in history.
One of Karsh's distinctive practices was lighting the subject's hands separately.
